hello there

my week was great (:

on tuesday i finally went running with karen :D i love the feeling of really working your muscles. i can vouch that exercising helps you stay more alert. before coming over to melb i was exercising pretty consistently (since i had so much time on my hands) so when i first came here, i could survive on 6 hours of sleep a day and not feel tired in the day at all. but last week the effects of lack of exercise began to show and even with up to 8 hours of sleep a day, i got tired much earlier into the night. now that i just ran on tuesday, i am many times more alert in the day. i caught the movie 21 at night. it's a great movie!

on thursday i had a one hour break between my lesson and lunch with my friend, so i had the pleasure of watching free recitals given by music students at the music faculty. it was so nice to be able to soak in good classical music. i love it when musicians bring across their music well not just technically, but also in terms of expression. music should always be genuine and people should move with the flow of music, rather than have some stiff rehearsed movements.

yesterday i attended band practice, and it was good being able to see how things work on that level. at the same time must always bear in mind that ultimately it's about the Giver, not the gifts; we are merely instruments through which He acts. 1 tim 2:5- 'For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus'
